Where Every Child Matters

Children's Circle is a mixed age care and education centre for children aged 0-6 years in Welcome Bay, Tauranga. It grew out of a desire to provide a care and education programme that celebrates the wonder of childhood, acknowledges each child as an individual and provides a natural environment where children are able to play and explore and develop at their own pace. Our programme supports children's development and transition to school in a natural and unobtrusive way by making learning part of the normal daily rhythm and activities.

Children's imagination and creativity are nourished through the gentle daily rhythm, through the story and circle times and celebrations of the seasons, festivals and birthdays. Each day offers a balance of inside and outside time, free play and group activities, meal times and rest time providing for the young child's essential needs.

Our "garden programme" gives children 31/2 years and over the opportunity to explore and play in nature for the day. Following a similar rhythm, the day is filled with play opportunities, gardening, caring for the chooks and worm farm, cooking, lunch box meals, circle and story all in the outdoors.

WINZ subsidies are available for eligible families and the 20 HOURS ECE are available for all 3,4 and 5 year old children.
